This site is provided for members and guests of Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) to interact with other fire protection industry professionals to benefit from the collective experience, knowledge and expertise of the entire industry.

These Terms and Conditions set out the rules, etiquette and privacy guidelines that apply to ensure the best possible experience for all users. By joining and using SPARK you agree that you have read and will follow these Terms and Conditions at all times.

In order to preserve an environment that encourages both civil and fruitful dialogue, FPA Australia reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to SPARK for any individual who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions or for any other reason whatsoever.

The following Terms and Conditions outline the guidelines for using SPARK to ensure a positive experience for all users. It is important to read and follow these guidelines, and if you have any questions, please contact the Customer Services Team.

 

 

Community Rules & Etiquette:

 

  • Respect other users' privacy and be considerate when posting content.
  • Do not engage in defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal content.
  • Please use SPARK for its intended purpose of asking questions, sharing successes, challenges, providing constructive feedback, or sharing knowledge and experiences with other users.
  • Do not use SPARK to blatantly promote or advertise products and services. However, sharing a positive experience with a product or service in a respectful manner is acceptable.
  • When posting in Communities, check to ensure that the content is appropriate for the specific Community.
  • Respect intellectual property rights and only post content with permission or that you have created.
  • Be cautious when discussing products, and assume that all information posted in SPARK is visible to all users.
  • Advertising products or services is prohibited unless otherwise authorised by FPA Australia. Negative, competitive, or argumentative comments about competitors or their products are not acceptable.

 Providing links to external sites is allowed, but FPA Australia is not responsible for any of the contents of external sites.

 

Privacy Policy and Legal Matters:

 

  • Cookies may be used for the login process and are not used for collecting personal information.
  • FPA Australia is not responsible for the content and information posted by others on SPARK.
  • FPA Australia disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of SPARK.
  • Contributors to the site must own the copyright to the material or have permission from the copyright owner.
  • Contributions to SPARK should not encourage illegal activity or infringe on any intellectual property rights.
  • FPA Australia does not actively monitor the site for inappropriate content but will take appropriate action if necessary.
  • FPA Australia reserves the right to terminate access for any user who violates these guidelines.
  • FPA Australia will only collect personal information which is necessary for FPA Australia to establish and administer your account, provide services to you 
  • FPA Australia takes all appropriate measures to prevent the unauthorised use, access, modification or disclosure, of your information.  
  • Users' privacy is protected through our partner Higher Logic, LLC's privacy policy.
